This year Universiti Sains Malaysia had organized a program called " Kursus PIMPIN SISWA". Kursus PIMPIN Siswa is a compulsary camp for First Year student. This program are divided into 4 badges. All House Building and Planning(HBP) students is the last badge that attend this course. My camp is at Kem Cinta Alam Kelimat, Sungai Siput, Perak.

The night before we went to our camp site, all of us were called to Dewan Desasiswa to have a briefing about the camping activities and we were given a bag, a cap, two shirt (long –sleeved and short-sleeved) and a pen.

The next morning, we were ordered to gathered at Padang Kawad USM on 9 a.m. Around  9.30a.m, we started our journey to Kem Cinta Alam Kelimat, Sungai Siput Perak.  I slept all the way to Kem Cinta Alam Kelimat.

We reached our destination at 1.30p.m. After we had arrived, we gathered with friends from engineering campus and had our lunch together. We had a briefing on the camp activities after our lunch. In the briefing, we were taught the basic skill of marching and choosing leaders among us after we were divided in to 12 groups and 3 companies. Around 4p.m, we were given camp and facilitators brought us to the site where we going to build our camp.

Then, all of us started set up our camp at the camp site. After everything settle down, all of us were allowed to take our bath and had our dinner. I’m so surprised that we still can had a proper meal although we were in camp site. Haha…

In night, we were having an activity called “Ice breaking”. In this activity, all participants had to guess the name of other group members. Then, we formed into two circles (boys and girls in one circle respectively) and run in the opposite direction. The purpose of this activity is we get to know each other. Our first day activities ended around 12a.m.

Second day was the worst and exhausting day. All participants had to wake up on 2 o’clock in the morning. The first activity that were carrying out was jungle tracking. The first thing came across my mind was “crazy, boring and tired”. It was so out of mind that we actually went jungle tracking early in the morning. Till now, I still can’t believe that I eventually went for that activity and completed the activity. Along the activity, there were some facilitators who pretended to be ghost. I was not scared and I don’t even felt freaky because I felt so exhausting and sleepy. Haha… This long lasting activity finally ended on 4 a.m in the morning. When we back to camp site, the only thing I remember was went straightly to camp and slept.

The day continued with some talks from facilitator on 6 a.m. Then, the activity continued with morning excises. After that, we had our breakfast. We played some sort activity called “ Cabaran Minda” after our breakfast. We played with hoops and water. All the games were fun and energetic. I felt so fresh after played those games.

The activity continued with the most interesting activity of all called “ survival”. In this activity, we have to cook by ourselves with all the materials given. Haha… That was fun and interesting. My group was able to cook two fine dishes for our lunch.

After that, we had our rest until 2.30p.m. The activity started again with group discussion. We were given a picture each groups and we were asked to debate based on the given picture. This activity lasted on 4.30p.m. Then, we had an activity which we needed to use compass in order to complete the task given. It was quite fun because this activity taught me how to use a compass.

We finished the activity around 6p.m and all of us had a short rest and bath after a long day activities. We back in action again after we had our lunch. This time, we had to do group presentation or more known as “malam kebudayaan”. That night, we have to do some performances in group based on the picture given to us in the afternoon. The activity ended around 11.30p.m and we went for sleep.

Moving into third day also known as the day we had been waiting for since the first day we entered the camping. That day, we have the most proper sleep after an exhausting night before. We had to wake up on 6a.m. The first activity we had were a talk given by a facilitator. (I can’t remember what the talk’s topic because I was still unconscious and sleepy) Then, the activity posited with morning exercise where we learned how to dance “poco-poco”.  After that, we were ordered to dismantle our camp. Then, we were having our closing ceremony. When everything was settling down, we back to USM main campus.

We reached USM main campus around 5p.m. The days of suffering finally came to the ended. The another suffering life started once again…… assignments……
